About the event
Visit three beautiful magical towns, learn about foundation, ethnic groups, crafts, traditions and religions of the area.
First Stop: Amealco de Bonfíl, visit the Doll Museum and the famous Otomi doll called Lelé, with over 300 dolls.
2nd Stop: Lunch at Bernal. In addition to enjoying the majestic sight of the monolith we will visit the Temple of San Sebastian, then on to a tradtional workshop with an 18th century loom where they still use traditional weaving techniques taught by their ancestors.
3rd Stop: At Tequisquiapan we will be visiting the woven wicker and wood craft markets, Wicker is a natural fiber from a local bush that the Otomies and Purepechas learned to handle in order to create utilitarian and decorative items such as lamps, armchairs, tables, screens, furniture, baskets, among many others.
